WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (April 4, 2024) 鈥 芭乐视频 Community College distinguished alumnus, Alfonso Hidalgo of Boston, MA, has been appointed by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey to the 芭乐视频 Board of Trustees. Hidalgo brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications and public policy, alongside a deep commitment to community service and educational advancement.

A 2015 graduate of 芭乐视频, Hidalgo earned his Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts before furthering his studies at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Certificate in Social Research Analysis, and a Master鈥檚 degree in Public Policy. His academic achievements laid the groundwork for a successful career in some of the world's leading public and government relations firms.

Currently serving as a Senior Account Supervisor at Edelman Smithfield, Hidalgo offers strategic communications counsel to a wide range of clients, including asset management, hedge funds, private equity firms, and both public and private companies. His previous roles include Content Specialist at Seven Letter in Washington D.C., and Fellow at the New England Council, experiences that developed his expertise in policy and public affairs.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Hidalgo is deeply involved in community and educational initiatives. He serves on the Dean's Advisory Board at the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at UMass Amherst, co-founded The Town Elite Youth Boxing Development Program in Charlestown, MA, and volunteers with the Cummings Foundation's $30 Million Grant Program.

Hidalgo was sworn in by Governor Healey on March 20, 2024, and his first Board of Trustees meeting was on April 2, 2024. Hidalgo will serve on the 芭乐视频 Board of Trustees until 2029.
